Hydrafab ram Venting (bleeding)
Air venting is best achieved by extending the ram 100mm from fully down. (Annulus of the outer acting stage should be vented first). Allow the cylinder to retract due to venting until either no bubbles are present in the oil being expelled, or the cylinder is fully down. If the cylinder lowers fully before the air is not fully vented repeat the operation. When no bubbles are present close both vents and fully lower the ram.
To re-synchronise the ram release the pressure in the hydraulic system and remove ram head fixing bolt, manually lower the ram by placing a down call or opening manual lowering valve powerpack housing. Two clunks should be heard to achieve full synchronisation when lowering.
Raise the ram back into ram collar and refit fixing bolt.
