Homelift Installation Guide

8  SWITCH CALIBRATION

8.3  Cabin Underpan and Safety Skirt.
With lift at ground floor, adjust the 4 underpan down stopping switches so that the   N/C contacts are broken. Raise, and then lower the lift to ground floor and check the lift stopping position. Readjust as required to give correct stopping position, which should be as low as possible.  Raise the lift to an adequate level to check the underpan down safety edge.  Lower the lift and push up the underpan.  This should stop the lift when the underpan is pushed up from any position on its surface.

UNDERPAN 'DOWN' SENSITIVE EDGE

Lift at lower floor position or meeting an obstruction when descending.

UNDERPAN 'UP' AND UNDERCAR 'DOWN' SENSITIVE EDGES

Lift at upper floor position or meeting an obstruction when ascending.

8.4   Raise the lift to the top floor position. Adjust the 4 underpan up sensitive edge /undercar sensitive skirt switches so that the N/O contacts are made.  Ensure some switch overtravel is used so that N/O contact are not 'just' making.

NOTE:     If  all the undercar safety edge switches N/O contacts do not make properly, the lift will not lower from the top floor.

Check that the undercar safety skirt works correctly from any position around the cabin with the lift at the upper level. Lower the lift to lower floor.  Raise the lift and pull gently down the underpan.  This should stop the lift.  Check that this operates correctly from any position around the cabin.
