Homelift Installation Guide

7  AUTOMATIC DOOR ASSEMBLY

7.1  Fit the top pivot bracket to the door. Place 2 off m8 flat washers on the pivot bush  for the bottom of the door. Locate the door into the bottom bush and tighten the fixings on the top hinge.

7.2   Position top hinge cover plate, drill 2 holes Ø2.5mm and fix cover plate with 2 off self tapping screws.

7.3
Open and close the door manually to check alignment. Ensure that the lock spigot engages with the lock correctly.

7.4  Connect the movement arm on the automatic door actuator to the door pivot bracket.

Note:     Do not overtighten as this will prevent the mechanism operating effectively.

7.5
Adjust the spring pressure on the knuckle joint to hold the mechanism  steady when powering the door open and closed, but still allow the door to  be manually opened and closed.

7.6  Power the door open. Adjust the door open limit switch so that the door opens to 90 degrees to the cabin frame ramp. Power the door closed. Adjust the door-close limit switch so that the door mechanism holds the door closed, firmly and allows the door lock to release the lock spigot on the door when opened.

7.7
Adjust the door obstruction sensitivity switches.  With the door powering  open the rear switch should operate if an obstruction is detected, the front  switch is used when the door is closing.  Care must be taken not to set  them up too sensitive, so that they operate on normal opening and  closing without any obstruction.
