4.1 The following procedure should be undertaken outside in case any oil spillages, since the ram is pre-filled with oil. Remove the ram hose fitting from the ram and insert the ram into the ram cover, taking care not to bang the ram against the cover. Keep the hose inlet uppermost to prevent the oil leaking from the ram. Reconnect the ram hose fittings.
NOTE: The above is usually carried out in the factory if the ram is available during assembly of the lift.
4.2 Stand the ram in the ram cup and slide the inside ram cover down over the ram cup. Ensure the hose connection is to the rear and to the side that leads to the powerpack position. Ensure ram hose fittings are tightened. Fit u-shaped bracket to base of ram cover with retaining screws (4 off).
4.3 Place the powerpack in the cabinet and screw to the fixing plate.

4.4 Connect the 3 core cable to the motor and the 2 core cable to the solenoid valve.
4.5 Fill the tank with hydraulic oil (T37) 4.6 Attach the hydraulic hose to the shut off valve on the powerpack. 4.7 The following procedure should be undertaken outside if possible in case of spillage. Prime the hose with oil by fitting a spare male quick release, fitting and running the powerpack until 'clean', air free oil flows through the hose into a bucket. Stop the pump and release the male quick release fitting. This will minimize air in the hydraulic system.
